Terrifier 3 (2024)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Terrifier 3 (2024)

Picks up where the second movie left off. The story is almost non-existent and pretty ass. But let's be honest, you're here for Art and he's still entertaining.

Yes, it's gory, REALLY gory. However, I don't think anything here was as shocking as one of the kills in the second movie. (Note: That kill led into one the legit funniest moments I've ever seen in a movie. Not kidding.) Everything is also so over the top that it's not "grounded in reality" like films in the Hostel torture porn genre.

The acting ranges from worst acting I've ever seen to good enough to Art. I cannot say enough about the guy who plays Art. He really does an amazing job of emoting and getting his feelings across without uttering a sound. I remember when Lost was on and people talked about Terry O'Quinn (John Locke) out acting the rest of the cast with just his facial expressions, and that's similar to this series. We've seen killer clowns before, but nothing like Art. The humor just amps up the ridiculousness, and oddly, the terror.

The bad part of how good Art is comes in the surrounding cast. Their inability to act gets really exposed. The guy who plays Jonathan easily puts in one of the worst performances I've ever seen. To the point that I'm pretty sure they cut a critical scene of his. I fully expect to learn something in the future about his involvement and why it was what it was, but man, acting is not for him.

The worst part of the movie though is the really confusing timeline, the massive plot holes, and the terrible supernatural story elements (particularly Vicki). I know where they're going and it's not interesting. Art is interesting. Everything else sucks. Oh, and they had Art do something that hurts his character a bit. It reminded me of seeing Friday the 13th Part 3 in the theater and there was a single kill Jason did that pissed off the audience. Other than that they were cheering him on. There are just some lines that people don't want to see crossed, even in theaters where people are cheering on a serial killer.
