Adam Sandler is a... cosmonaut? from Czechoslovakia on a solo mission to Jupiter to investigate a thing. On the way his pregnant wife back home decides she just can't even, ghosts him, and he starts to lose his shit.
The only man within 10 million miles is trying to get some sleep.... suddenly, there's a knock on the door.
If you can ignore Czeckosolvakia being on the cutting edge of tech and exploration (with a falling-apart-ass spaceship), and the fact they sent a lone guy on a 12+ month mission, it's just a weird movie overall. I think it was trying to be deep, and Sandler understood the assignment, but the story was missing something. IDK what. A certain je ne sais quoi, if you will.
