Soon to delay all your favorite shows.

Writers are the most important element of successful shows and movies.

This is why Hollywood needs to dump Wokeism and Nepotism. The vast majority of what they've been churning out over the past few years have been critical and financial failures.

Unfortunately, writer's strikes usually result in shitty scripts that were written before the strike but were deemed too shitty to produce.

Whomever runs that subreddit is clearly not very knowledgeable about Hollywood.

The writers strike is continuing on with no resolution, and honestly, that should tell you everything you need to know about Hollywood. Story is the single most important part of the creative process in STORYTELLING!!!!!!! Hollywood doesn't think so, and can't figure out why the majority of audiences are rejecting their movies and shows.

Anyway, actors are now striking.

I have heard AI is again a huge part of the rift. Apparently, studios claim they want to protect actors' digital likenesses, but actors are claiming studios want to do things like use an extra once (which pays peanuts) and then continue using their digital likeness in future projects for no money or a ridiculously low amount.

As long as advertisers are willing to pump money into advertising during FBOY Island, or whatever, storytelling remains.... 4th? 5th? down Hollywood's priority list.

They aren't trying to make art. They're trying to make money.

Studios won't even negotiate with the writers.

This is such a great example of how Hollywood's messages are "Do what I say, not what I do."

Hollywood execs are making hundreds of millions while screenwriter pay has dropped.

Ron Perlman makes a video and posts it of him threatening violence upon a studio executive. Perlman's not the sharpest knife in the drawer...

Sag Aftra voting to add video game companies to their strike.

They want more money from them too. And to stop the use of AI generated characters/actors.

Sounds like both strikes are now over.

Great! Now they can get back to making poorly written garbage ripped off from past projects.
