The effects and acting are fine, but holy shit does this movie drag and drag and drag from predictable jump scare to predictable scene. Even worse, every character has to act in the stupidest ways imaginable for the plot to move forward. I cannot stress this enough, the "STUPIDEST" ways imaginable.
And yes, it copies It Follows almost to a "t". Even the "oh this person survived, what did they do" plot detail.
Absolutely a skippable movie. Far more boring than entertaining.
The solution, once the protagonist figured things out, was quite simple and you had two choices: 1. Kill yourself and end the cycle. 2. Go to an inner city area and wait for multiple people to try and rape/rob you. Kill one so that the others see it. Then leave. Nobody is going to report you, especially not within a week, and now you're free of the cycle.
