He did get a lot of social media outrage from Trump supporters, iirc. They've hated him since his SNL portrayals.

I think "Trump" has fully replaced "Bush/Haliburton/Cheney/global warming" as people's go to for blaming anything and everything.

Not that he isn't a dick who deserves scorn, but not to be blamed for everything.

Doesn't really seem fair to me. I have no doubt in my mind that AB was completely certain his people were doing their job and he had a non-lethal weapon. I'm a fan of following the spirit of the law, not the letter. Jailing Baldwin would be about practicing payback, not justice or rehabilitation, and our system isn't intended to work that way.

"After doing three years in prison I now realize I shouldn't play pretend with what I think are prop guns." Whew we're all safer now, another criminal fixed.

I wonder if the people pursuing the charges are trump fans and don't like his SNL portrayals.
