I remember my parents trying to decide if they should throw away their Tylenol or not. My mom wanted to, my dad did not. He actually thought it could be a collectible at some point if that had been the end of Tylenol.

Not according to all the reports. 1 guy and a bunch of witnesses just watching. A transit official finally reported it 40 minutes into the assault and police responded within 3 minutes to arrest the guy.
There is a thread on reddit right now where people are trying to justify the actions of the people who watched.
Seriously, fuck this planet. If this is where we are, we deserve to go extinct.

This story
Mom, Dad, and son are in a car. It runs out of gas, so they walk alongside the road to get help.
Someone accidentally hits the kid, and kills said kid. Drivers stops + calls 911.
Dad pulls out a gun, kills the Driver.
Dad + Mom take Driver's truck, and leave the dead kid behind.
Deputies found the stolen truck at the family's home and arrested the father, identified as Chad Woods. Woods was charged with second-degree murder and larceny of motor vehicle.
