A comedy/horror that sees a kid's mom gets murdered when he's young. She was a big fan of horror movies, unlike his dad. Now all grown up, the kid attends a horror movie festival. Unbeknownst to him and the other festival goers the festival is run by an evil man who plans to turn the festival into the ultimate horror film.

There's a really interesting blend of horror genres that goes on here, and it's cool how they pull it off. You will see things you absolutely do not expect, and then appreciate the explanation.

The casting/acting is good, with the exception of the male lead. He's fine, but there's something about his face that makes him look more like a bully than the quiet kid. There are some quality B listers who show up, a genuine A lister cameo, and yes, that's Spider-Man's bestie stealing scenes.

Also, some of the effects are pretty nice.

This is not classic, but it is a decent effort. I really enjoyed the gimmick/story, despite knowing the twist from the start, and had a couple of chuckles along the way.
