From what I've seen, the new CEO is running the brand into the dirt. Going to the parks is now ridiculously difficult.... like, I don't quite get how it works (and neither do a lot of people), but it's possible to buy park tickets for a particular day and then not get in the park because you didn't make a reservation 6 months out. Or something.

Restaurant reservation systems are fucked, they automatically split any party over 4, which is stupid, if true. Just what I read on the disney blogs.

Also people can't figure out the new fastpass system that used to be really easy to use when it was just an advance ticket at the ride.

And service is in the shitter.

And resort rooms dont get cleaned sometimes.

And they removed the shuttle from the airport.

I would be amazed if all those things are true.

I know the fastpass thing is true and parks are crazy expensive and overcrowded, but the #1 ranked service being shit and no more shuttle to the and from the airport?

(The resort rooms thing I buy because I'm sure Disney is having trouble finding employees.)

If all true, it's exhibit #5,874,456 on why serving only Wall St. masters who want higher profits every quarter is unsustainable and needs to be dismantled ASAP. Only the truly greedy would be concerned about quarterly profits in the BILLIONS not increasing.

I don't understand why people like Disney, much less why so many people LOVE Disney.

And it has now officially cost Disney.

I think the Wall St overlords should be pushing a message of, "stay the fuck out of politics."

The only thing I would say is "uncertain" is the restaurant reservations. A person claimed it, and he was asked if he tried to get in last minute. That being said.... kinda sucks that you can make reservations 6 months out, and you better make them TO THE DAY or you wont get what you want. They're managing crowds, but still overcrowded.

The rest of the things I've seen time and again, including families on vacation, with tickets but not reservations, being turned away at the gate.

The Magical Express is gone, but you can still pay $20-30 each for a shuttle with a private contractor. Yay.

Yes. Doesn't make it a great system.

I guarantee you this was yet another thing cut to try and boost quarterly profits so Wall St was happy.

when this new CEO came on, people were worried about exactly the things he is fucking up now.

I wouldn't choose a disney vacation at the moment, and that's a shame. I meant to go back for nostalgia once my kid was grown, but no. They seem to be actively trying to reverse their legendary customer service reputation because "we're still filling the park obviously we don't need to try as hard."

I wouldn't choose Disney either, but it has nothing to do with the new CEO.

Massive python hauled out of Everglades.

Invasive species are such a great way to prove that most people are fucking idiots and have no ability to think about long term consequences.

Florida illegal voting mess

Florida: You can vote, here's your voter registration card.

Also Florida: That's illegal.
According to state law, it is the job of the Florida Department of State to “identify those registered voters who have been convicted of a felony” and “notify the supervisor and provide a copy of the supporting documentation indicating the potential ineligibility of the voter to be registered.”

In the five counties where there were arrests, the local supervisor of elections office told CNN that the state did not inform the arrested individuals that they were ineligible to vote.
Meanwhile, Republicans in Florida who INTENTIONALLY voted illegally (voted multiple times, voting on behalf of dead people, etc) got probation and/or community service.

Why would we assume officials in sports can be consistent when there is no consistency anywhere in rules and penalties?

I simply see a government that is failing its citizens, which I see everywhere.

How exactly would socialism have helped them?

Someone on reddit blamed republican city counsel for not upgrading infrastructure.

My response was, "Yes, I remember when the rethuglicans voted against the giant umbrella that would have saved the city from 29 inches of rain."

I had 5 upvotes before my comment was deleted.
