So the wife bought herself a kick-ass gaming laptop (Dell XPS with the pretty colored lights) and is going to start Eve. She's always been a crafter first, pvper second. She's really not bad at PvP either, wish she'd do that more. She certainly held her own in UO. Troy, you knew her as Maydchen and Hyapatia. . but anyway, I know NOTHING about R&D/building stuff. Where's a good place to get started with that? Catt, what have you learned so far and where are you learning about it? And speaking of wives playing, Gordon, any chance of the missus trying it out?

There is not an abundance of free gaming time in my house at the moment.

Fuckin' infants, taking up all your time. They have no consideration for other people. And know what? They'll be sitting on you and they'll just crap right there in their own pants. It's disgusting. Filthy, disgusting little time-sucking creatures.

I don't remember it being all that bad. You just spank them and put them in their playpen/crib/swing. Problem solved.

My alt is just training. Intelligence appears to be the most important attribute, as it is primary on science skills.

If you pick the right starting profile, you can start with Science V (256k SP!!!), and Charisma 3. Be Asian, then do custom career, and pick whichever attribute gets you a Science skill.

That's about all I've learned.

So, charisma won't be important in that field?

Is it ever?

It's only primary on leadership, iirc.

I figured they would use it to interact with R&D agents or something to get best material costs and stuff or something.

So, build the character with high int/mem and high science. Not sure she's gonna like bein' Asian though. . .

Mem is secondary skill, so she could go high int/percep if she wanted more pvpable skills.
