I'd be a little more charitable than that. I would have placed her about on par or slightly above the CGI you see for video game trailers. But pretty obviously CGI.

Based on that one picture, I thought it was instagram effects or something of a real person (before I read the article).

The hair gave it away for me. Then I looked at the lips. Rendering hair, even in a still shot is really hard.
