A classroom experiment on socialism

A professor had never failed a single student. However, one of his classes had a discussion that led to them declaring "Obama's socialism worked". Thus, the class conducted an experiment to see if that was the case.

The whole class failed.
There are five morals to this story:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.
That last question is pretty awesome:
Sort of makes you wonder why some people still believe this nonsense?
I truly, truly believe that people who preach socialism have to be truly evil, and pushing it for some self-serving purpose, or they're exceptionally ignorant.

I kinda wish a prof would do this for real and see what happens.

I wonder if any school would allow it? Give a pass to the students involved, but don't let them know you're giving them a pass. Could any school avoid its own politics knowing what the results would end up being?
