I suspected, but it's surprising they actually showed up.

Season 2 is already filming. So hopefully not too far away.
Ep 7 fish was disturbing, yes?

We're finally through two episodes and my wife really likes it because she believes this as well.
“Every record been destroyed or falsified, books rewritten, pictures repainted, statues, street building renamed, every date altered. The process is continuing day by day. History stops. Nothing exists except endless present in which the Party is right.”

Why? Because PEOPLE ARE GARBAGE?
Told ya.

I think that maybe one person in every thousand is completely honorable and good, and would not go on an unstoppable rape and murder spree if given Superman powers. I am one of these people, so I feel my contempt for the garbage people is justified.

I dunno. In day to day life, I'd say 95% of people are generally good. 4% decent, 0.9% bad, 0.1% fucking terrible.
But, power corrupts. Also, maturity matters. I wouldn't trust anyone under 25 with powers. I could handle the powers and not be a terrible person, I think. It's like how people who let their kids be rich early, those kids turn out terrible. But if they don't get the inheritance/trust until they're 30+, it usually turns out better.
It's not me, it's someone else.
The Boys (Amazon)
No way. 95% of people would push the anonymous button to kill you for the cost of a car payment.

Did we see a study on this, or are you just guessing?
It's not me, it's someone else.
The Boys (Amazon)
Just life experience. There's no study that people would actually be honest about.
Humans are scared little apes, huddling around the glow of their screens telling them who to be afraid of, in order to keep the dark at bay. And most will absolutely fuck each other over, if there was guaranteed no consequence.

Because people are garbage. And I don't see how you can argue both sides in this single thread.
"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."
The Boys (Amazon)
Well, there's that.
I mean, I can argue a lot of things.
Power corrupts, I absolutely believe that. But I also think most people are not fundamental garbage. I doubt 95% of people would kill a random person for $500. $1M? I bet 70% would.
It's not me, it's someone else.

If whether or not they will kill someone is based on price, then they are garbage.

Got to say, I agree.

The Boys (Amazon)
Fair point, but there's a huge difference between killing an enemy combatant in duty to country versus killing some random innocent for a payday.

The Boys (Amazon)
This is exactly right.
Whether it's a dollar, or a billion, you're still garbage that's negotiating the price.

So the random innocents/bystanders who are killed don't count? Life's only sacred when not at war?
It's not me, it's someone else.
