Inspired by the latest Bill Simmons podcast that discusses this topic:
This guy sees it coming.
Essentially, it's a prediction that we're going to lose control of the internet/email/news because of scammers, fakers, etc.
The podcast is interesting until they start talking about conspiracy theories and gun stuff, then it gets goofy. Simmons has a guy on from Buzzfeed to talk about the dangers of fake news, which is fucking hilarious in its irony, and then Simmons talks about his gun control stance, which is based on fake news. (An AR-15 does not shoot 200 rounds a minute.)
Anyway, I was initially buying into the sky is falling thing, but then it occurred to me that we'll be fine. There's too much money in the internet for corporations/governments to let it fail via fake news/email scams.
