Ok, Tas and I are scouting systems looking for bad guys as ussual. We come across a couple -1.3 people in the same corp. One was born 12/10/05, the other like 1/6/06. So, I camp the outpost. How hard could they be? They never show up. Two more enter the system. None of them go to the outpost. Tas runs into one at a planet, but he warped to it at 100km. Bad guy warps away, and Tas and I warp close to that planet. Bad guy comes back, but he's 50km from the planet. Kind of makes us think he was trying to get closer to Tas. We move about the system more, tracking them down. They group up at a planet, and we warp in. 3 of them are close, one, the Stealth Bomber is at 50km. They don't do anything. By the way, they are all about -1.3 and all about the same age. Flying frigates and destroyers. Tas targets one. They all target him back and open fire. Tas jams them all, and I warp jam one. We fire on the Bomber. He was too far away to warp jam and he gets away. We fire on the one I had jammed and kill her. Other three get away.

Now, question is, do we war this crew? It would be an EASY war. Why should we war them?

1. They fired first. Yes, we spooked them, but they did fire first.
2. They are all negative sec, at least one has a small bounty. I'm leaning towards a blossoming PK corp.
3. I'm guessing they are a PK corp based on sec ratings and stuff.

Ok, 2 and 3 are the same. . .

They are based in Uemisaisen, it looks like.

So, do we war and take out a PK corp early, or do we let them go?

My vote is yes. Why?

1. If left unchecked, they will grow and become a bigger/better PK corp.
2. They are based in Uemisaisen. That's our neighborhood (Lonetrek). I'd like to clean house early, rather than later when it's that much harder.
3. PKs are bad. M-kay?

I almost want to let them get better, so they are more fun to fight. However, I don't want to find myself in a situation that I can't get out of while hunting in MY neighborhood because I didn't nip the problem in the bud early on. Right now, I'd say that any of us could take them on 5:1. A month from now, we have to watch our backs, etc.

So, what are your thoughts?

Lordknights is the corp name. 5 members.

More reds= better

Always my stance... so you know how I vote.

btw, this was my first attempt at "cycle" jamming. Where I had about 4-5 reds, and had to do my best do jam them... I did pretty well, until they hit me back with another jammer.

Also, if there whole corp was going the stealth bomber, route, well, that could be distinct problem.

The makeup of the ships we saw.. lots of kestrals, one of the guys already in a hound, ex, would lead me to believe that.

But I'm guessing too young to pilot it correctly. I bet he doesn't have the missle skills to run with cruise missles.

Or a cloaking device, for that matter

We saw one in a Ferox, so they aren't all going the steath bombers.

Declare war already.

Well, Catt says three's enough of a 'majority' to go ahead and declare. So, I am.

If someone doesn't like it, yell at him!

Also, if I actually thought these people would be a threat, I'd wait. But I really don't think they will be.

I have nothing to lose if I get ganked somewhere, and I know Troy will throw me some ship to replace the one lost (also one of his hand me downs), so I don't care.

Declare.

Actually, if you have full insurance on your ship, you should get enough from insurance to buy a new ship. So the only over head from losing a ship would be the ISK to insure the new one. So, make sure you stay insured. If you need ISK for that, let someone know.

In other news, the war is currently being posponed, as general confusion reigns in the TKV war room.

Sources close to dtman.com suggest that the Catt is attempting to stage a hostile takeover in the turmoil.

More information as it comes in.

Poll is currently up to see if war is acceptable for members of the corp. Poll ends tomorrow. Then we will be able to declare, assuming there are enough yes votes.

Stupid democracy.
