One dorito at a time.

Based on the comments there and here, I'm guessing these will fail.

Hard to be a woman these days. Suggest an idea, get shot down by women.

My wife: I can't unfriend her though, I'll get judged.
Me: I've unfriended a bunch of people lately. Made FB much nicer.
Her: But I'll get judged.
Me: Sexist.
Her: What?
Me: Why would you get judged?
Her: Because they're women.
Me: Sexist.
Her: It's not sexist if it's true. My whole life has taught me this is true.
Me: Take that argument to the Internets.

What are the consequences of "getting judged?"

I didnt ask. Feels like some kind of social ostracization.

So... no real consequences.

If you aren't willing to disconnect yourself from what they think about you, then no, you can't unfriend them....

I suppose their could be some professional connotation that I'm not aware of or considering. But then... they aren't real friends anyway.

BTW you can block people without their being aware of it.

Truth. I see far less right wing, conspiracy theory posts than I used to...

For me personally, I'd rather just unfriend. Maybe family would be different.

I unfriend 'people' and block friends and family. If it's not 'appropriate at the dinner table', why do they think it's ok on facebook? We don't bring this stuff up at family functions because it causes tension. But do it with the SAME PEOPLE on facebook and it's ok.

Please. Call me stupid some more because I don't think the same way you do. Do it in whatever passive aggressive way you want. That's still what you are doing.

It does depend on who it is because sometimes just blocking their posts means less drama later. If it's an acquaintance, unfriend.

I have one uncle I can't block because I can't look away. His daily feed is nothing but "people who believe in God are all morons because..." posts mixed in with anti-government stuff. Watching him try to "debate" is fascinating. It's all "insult, insult, insult, I'm unfriending you because you don't agree, etc."

What is he hoping to accomplish? Why bother posting at all?

Sounds like he takes the less passive route.

Trend-setter.

At first I thought you were replying to my last post, and I was super-confused.

I wondered how it could be otherwise once they opened up the combat roles to women.

Why Greeks question this role model's credentials

The grift is a lot easier to pull off when the media desperately wants to believe it.

Hilarious, but the most important takeaway from this story is "I'd hit it."
