Tao -

The famous restaurant/nightclub in the Venetian. Wow. Unbelievable food.

We got the satay of chicken with peanut sauce as an app. Delicious.

I ordered the Filet Mignon Pepper Steak as my main and it was also delicious, but the pepper steak sauce kind of hid the filet taste.

My wife got the Chilean Sea Bass, and she declared it the best thing she's ever ordered in a restaurant. It was awesome.

I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Worth every penny.

Yardbird -

A Southern restaurant in the Venetian.

Known for their friend chicken and it's legit. They brine it for 23 hours or something like that.

I was disappointed by the chicken and waffles. Everything was great, but it was bone in chicken, which makes getting everything in one bite a chore. Plus, the maple syrup was just that. (Best I've ever had was still at the Revolution Grill in Toledo.)

My wife got brisket sliders that were way too heavy with the sauce. You couldn't taste the brisket. They were fine, but not amazing.

For an app we got the bone marrow. Picture two large bones on a plate and you dig the bone marrow out and spread it on toast. Delicious and a consistency of butter.

Mixed drinks from the cocktail menu were STRONG.

B&B Beer and Burger -

I got a sausage sandwich. It had a sausage patty (pork, but not the breakfast kind), peppers, a garlic aioli, some onions and was pretty good.

Fries were shoestring-ish. A bit thicker. Like McD's, but not as tasty.

My wife got a burger and said it was good.

We got friend pickles to start that were good, but got worse the more we ate them. They were never bad, but we didn't finish them.

Cheaper fare than elsewhere, but the layout of the restaurant was really odd.

Venetian Food Court -

The one next to the casino area. The burger place that offers Phillys and whatnot makes a great burger for hungry, half drunk concert goers at 11 p.m.

Avoid TacoRita.

Capo's Steakhouse and Speakeasy -

Amazingly good Italian food. Everything is made to order. Like most great restaurants, the key is in the sauces.

Get the Meatballs Peppers app. Two softball sized meatballs in a perfect marinara. They're cooked perfectly and the sauce is just the right amount of spice. Yum a dum dum.

I've ordered Chicken Piccata (or was it veal?), which isn't on the menu, and it was very good. I've not heard a single person complain about their meal there and I've been there three times with 20 or so people. Everyone has raved.

The atmosphere is pretty kick ass. Very dark. The whole place is an homage to the mob. Entrance is in the back and is part of the tone. Don't sit near the singer (only seems to be there at dinner) as he can be annoying. IMHO, I hate live singers in restaurants who sing to you from a foot away and move from table to table. I want to punch them. He sings all the rat pack stuff.

Anyway, this time I got the fettuccine, which is NOT the cream heavy Olive Garden version. It's buttery, light and delicious.

The worst thing I can say about the place is the Chicken Parm, while others raved about it, was pedestrian. But then again, I think chicken parm is a pedestrian dish.

I would have sworn the title was Vegan Restaurants when I clicked on it. Then you were talking about a chicken dish and I was like wah?

Will try. Was tired after flight and we hit Julian Serrano Tapas. They were awesome. Had Oxtail for the first time. Good experience, but don't need to try it again.

B&B is gone replaced by Black Tap. It sucks. Burgers are smaller than hockey pucks and the bun is larger.

They have milkshakes that are their "attention grabbers", but Sugar Factory does it better.

(This is from elsewhere, but belongs here...

Hell’s Kitchen:

I got the lobster risotto and while the rice was under and under seasoned, the lobster was the best I’ve ever had.

I got the short ribs which were awesome.

My wife got the Caesar salad app which was very good, and the beef Wellington, which was amazing. We got the sticky toffee dessert and that was ok. Ice cream was great. Cake was moist, but I thought missing something. My wife thought it has a strange spice.

Got my photo taken with season 17 winner Michelle who was running the kitchen. On the way out, Gordon Ramsey told me to piss off which was great.

Ambiance kind of sucked because most of the restaurant is setup like they film there.

Pricey, but worth it.

Capo's continues to be awesome. Tao continues to have the best dish in the Chilean Sea Bass.

Nobu, Delmonico's, and Joe's are on the list this week.

Tonight is open which may have been a planning mistake. Oh well, already on the plane

No. I walked more than 20,000 steps yesterday, and was only here from 3pm on.

My record day of walking ever (> 35,000 steps) was another trip up here.

No Tao on the schedule? Their sea bass might be the best thing in Vegas.

Let me know if Delmonico is worth it.

My wife won't let us skip it.

We're skipping Hell's Kitchen next time, but are going to hit Ramsey's place at Caesar's.

Last time I'll say this: You must do yourself the favor and hit Capo's. (If not this year, then next.) Get the meatball app and then anything else that sounds good to you. We're both Italian and love it.

I really enjoy how old we are discussing restaurants in Vegas and not the nightclubs or strip clubs.
