This is blowing up all over the world:
Man biten by spider loses legs, may lose arms.

Note the difference between the headline and the actual story.

Thank you to The Guardian for reporting the truth in their headline:
Probably not that spider or even any spider.

Here's a Trump one that was front page on Imgur yesterday:

The way the words are manipulated and truths buried in the bottom of the article, where studies have shown most people don't read, is a problem. It's irresponsible, it's dangerous, it's harmful, it's biased, it's clickbait, etc.

I was discussing this same topic last week at a lunch meeting, and folks were openly wondering how the MSM could be fixed. How can you make them focus less on the "for profit" part, not make them a government entity or over regulated, while eliminating bias?

I actually think CNN solved this problem years ago with Headline News. A 30 minute news program that reported the news and never brought in opinion or analysts. I wonder if there's a business opportunity here for someone to revolutionize the way news is delivered?

How about the WDC News Network? (We Don't Care)

Start on the web and news feeds. Simply take all stories that get reported and report only the facts. Don't worry about being the "first to report", but rather being the most accurate. Exist on donations and advertising on the site.

This article surprised me... it's about how Mexico is now making a big show of welcoming back Mexicans deported from the USA, but it mentions they didn't give a shit while Obama deported 2 million of them.
