The Accountant (2016)

What happens when you train an autistic kid to be a warrior? You get the world's deadliest accountant.
Listen, I know nothing about autism, but there were a LOT of things that seemed wrong to me throughout the movie. But whatever...
This was a very entertaining film. Affleck does a great job with what he's working with, but again, there seem to be inconsistencies. I blame that more on the writers. There's a story line about someone in Treasury trying to track him down that will make you laugh. It's clearly written by someone with no concept of how to hide money/ownership. It makes Cave Johnson's character look completely incompetent.
The action is really solid and reminds me of John Wick, although the body count is much smaller.
The story is enough...just...enough to not become a disaster. In fact, the main story is such a background player that it almost doesn't exist. Make no mistake, this was about creating a franchise.
I hope they run with it too because I think this could be an interesting character to follow.
Did I mention Anna Ferris is in the movie? Not enough to go gaga, but it's always nice to see her. John Lithgow and Shane/Punisher round out the names you'll know.
Worth a viewing and worthy of a sequel, but I think for this film the folks here will spend more time discussing if someone with autism would do X and X and X...
