Obama's 1% planned raise for federal workers (unionized) "not enough".

I was referred to this link by someone who pointed out that unionized federal workers average pay is now higher than those folks in the private sector.

That's bad, Mmk?

Where's the fuck unions thread? Did a quick search and didn't find one. There HAS to be one, right?

Anyway, it's been a while since they've really pissed me off. I'm pissed again.

Had techs on a job last night. Small counter remodel at a retail establishment. Some union person saw work being done at the establishment and called it into their union rep. Union rep shows up and starts asking for cards. Wants to know what union the techs are in. Who they work for, etc. Talking about calling the inspector to see if we've pulled permits, checked in at the local union house, etc. Basically, trying to figure out a way to get us kicked off the job site so they can have it. And if you don't kiss their asses and give them everything they want, they will picket the establishment.

Hurray for legalized organized crime.

Being able to not go to college, go to college, go PRO in a different league, etc. = lack of a free market apparently.

Correct. Actors are not able to make free decisions.

I think you're very confused. Literally, the only option they don't have is to join the NFL out of high school. That's by NFL rules.

In what dream world do you live in where IBM is forced to hire kids out of high school just because they want a job instead of going to college?

If they want to go pro there are three other leagues they can join. Where, in the holy hell, is the lack of options?
