It's pretty awesome. I haven't laughed during a movie like this in a long time. I have some mild disappointment because you'll want more cameos and it does NOT do the number one thing we thought this movie was going to do, which tells me they're not done yet. Based on rumors about what's coming, that's probably true, and probably why they didn't do some cameos.
This is a Deadpool and Wolverine film. Nothing else. Go in with that expectation too. Everyone and everything else are just props for their story.
Loads of cameos, and some are more drawn out than others. Some of the cameos are just the characters, some are actors playing the characters. No Tay Tay, which was shocking considering she was tweeting about the movie, has been mentioned in marketing material, and is even in a photo with primary cast members. The ones you get you'll enjoy. Two of them, in particular, lead to a lot of jokes. FYI, that is Blake as Lady Deadpool.
We do not get THE fight, which is probably for the best. I want that one done right. The fights we do get are pretty awesome. Reynolds and Jackman really trained up for this and do an amazing job. Their fights are pretty great.
As for acting, Jackman brought his A game, and I know you're wondering what he could possibly do, but they give him a lot. Reynolds continues to BE Deadpool. He plays another Deadpool as well, and well, you'll laugh.
It's worth the trip to the theater.
It doesn't fix the MCU, but it will give you hope.
I kept getting spoilered in news article headlines, so figured I couldn't wait for the kid and went to see it solo.
I'd been spoilered for 90% of the cameos. Fuck you, the news.
But it was good.
I wonder how odd it would seem if you hadn't watched Loki. Like 90% of the plot revolves around Loki stuff.
Also noticed the "why is *spoiler* holding me?"
never paid off.

All the TVA stuff comes from Loki. And the story in D&W revolves around the TVA. I just wonder how weird it would be to not know what the TVA is, and see the movie.
