Did Cabellas touch you inappropriately?

I found this interesting because of both stores in the area. For some reason I always thought Big Bass Pro was the smaller company. Maybe I based that on store size?

I thought Bass Pro was larger... but only cuz I've never heard of Cabellas before this forum (thus assumed it was regional), and because I've been to the largest one in the US. IT's MASSIVE.

The Cabellas in Dundee, MI near us is massive too, and I've heard not their biggest store.

Meanwhile, the Big Bass Pro 5 minutes from my office is no bigger than a Walmart.

The largest Cabela's is 250k sq ft. The largest Bass Pro Shop is 535k sq ft. But they do range from 20k to 535k.

When I was working for them out in Dundee, that store was the largest tourist attraction in NE. Once a year they sold wild mustangs.

Fuck Nebraska, too, for that matter.

Someone told me about this yesterday. I think Cabellas tried to fight on Bass Pro turf and got it handed to them. Should have focused on web and mail orders. Shoot for Amazon of the outdoors man.

I didn't know Bass Pro was a chain. I thought there was only one.

I forgot Gordo worked for them.

My brother-in-law did some side work for them for a bit too. He took care of their fish tanks.

I took care of their banking software, and when I was told to have a hard credit hit on every customer that voluntarily gave up their SSN (or something, I forget the details... they were gleaning and using some bit of identity data that they acquired for a different purpose, illicitly) to see if they qualify for a credit card, even though it was illegal, I was told to just shut up and do it.

I didn't put my name on those particular software changes. I did put my manager's full name and employee ID on them. We didn't have code review.
