So if a game forced you into a homo male-male relationship, you're cool with that? Like if the Witcher IV were suddenly all about banging buff dudes?

I would avoid that game.

Maybe. I've been contemplating that word since I saw the Orville episode with all the big black guy gay sex, and how I thought it was icky.

I don't care if someone is gay. You be you! But if I have a negative physiological response being exposed to gay sex.... does that count as homophobia? And, follow that reasoning, if a gay guy thinks seeing straight sex is icky, is that heterophobia? Chrome doesn't even recognize that as a word, but if one exists, the other must, to.

I dunno, but I basically feel the same way. I don't like men kissing men, etc. On the other hand, woman + woman, all day long.

Right? I almost added that. Give me 2 hot chicks in a 69 ANY DAY, all day. So.... yeah. It isn't homosexuality.

It's gross men.

Androphobic.

I hear hating men is all the rage these days... So I feel like we were ahead of the curve.

It's a game, and thus, not real. Who gives a fuck? Pretty sure games have allowed same sex relationships before. I certainly wouldn't whine to the developers and demand they apologize. If it was so offensive to me, I just wouldn't play it. (What a concept!)

Allowed, yes, but never required (speaking to mainstream games here)

Apparently just Gordon and me. Maybe you need forcing to admit your true desires?

I tried dating chubby women with good personalities, and my body was having none of it.

I see a big gay man pile on Orville, and I say an involuntary "eww," then feel bad for being a homophobe in front of my son.

Physiological preference is real.

Is that correct? I'm not sure that's 100% correct. That mainstream qualifier is tough though. I know Steam has a bunch of adult games, and I naturally assume a lot are geared towards gay folks.

So you homophobes wouldn't be ok with a main character going through a gay love story? I guess now I should point out how you are obvious Trump voters?

Seriously though, I think it would all depend on how deep it goes. Is it critical to the story, and are you forced to get into it or watch 30-45 second sex scenes (ala The Witcher)? If it's done in a humorous way, like in a Maniac Mansion type game, I don't think it'd be even a minor issue. If it got much deeper, like The Witcher where entire conversations revolve around feelings and whatnot, it'd be tougher.

If participating in a gay love story is something I couldn't avoid in playing a game, I wouldn't play that game. Nor would I watch porn in which an aspect of it is man-man sex, because I wouldn't enjoy it. Just because it's out there doesn't mean I have to partake.

Yeah, I think I'd have to pass on being the gay hero.

It's not me, and it's not something I identify with. I think that the games should be more accommodating of homosexuals. I certainly wouldn't want to be forced the other way.

Long video, but this guy shreds UbiSoft, the video game industry (rehashes, DLCs, microtransactions, etc.), and stupid consumers. I should point out, he's also extremely fair about the business aspects of it. Absolutely worth watching if you have any interest in the industry you spend some much time and money on.
