Club cancels sold out Chappelle show hours before the start.

Why? They're not really specific, but it seems to point to his anti-trans comments from a special that came out a month ago.

I'm sure all the customers will be thrilled you waited until the last minute to "go woke". I hope they get sued into bankruptcy. Not for cancelling the show, that's their ownership's prerogative. No, they should get sued for waiting until the last minute when assuredly people had plans, had spent money (aside from just the tickets), and so on.

UPDATE: Someone got it moved to a nearby theater. First Avenue's Instagram is getting murdered right now for their shitty statement claiming to believe in artistic expression while cancelling a concert over a performers artistic expression.

There are people who argue "cancel culture" doesn't exist.

I find these people often work hardest to cancel people.

Apparently it was the employees, not the owners, who forced the action.

They refused to work a sold out club and did so in a way that harmed their employer and will continue to harm their employer. Soon they'll be whining about not making as much money as they used to and will go work at some chain restaurant.

JK Rowling threatened after Salman Rushdie attack.

Why post this here? She's been very vocal in not supporting the trans community and it's very likely that threat came from someone in that community (as other threats towards her have).
