I went to the Cure concert a few weeks back, and it was a SEA of arms in the air with cellphones when it started. Live in the damned concert people. One picture is fine. Nothing more.

Actively blocking someone's view like that makes you as much of a dick as wearing a tophat and not taking it off. Those people deserve to be shot, or at least tazed, after 2-3 warnings. However, if someone paid for your show and feels like viewing it through their tiny-ass phone screen and can do that without pissing others off, stop dictating to them what a concert experience must be like. Last night didn't feel like a Frampton show or have the atmosphere. Thanks to the security rejects pacing up and down the aisles nonstop, it felt like a shitload of chaperones watching over a battle of the bands in a school gym, making sure no one's sneaking their flask near the punch bowl. They were bitching out people for using their phones to check the time, the set list, or even just checking text messages. If your fragile artist's ego is so vulnerable that inanimate electronic devices threaten your performance integrity, then kindly, stop fucking performing on a stage in front of a live audience and retreat back into your hermit studio where your can insulate yourself pesky things like fans and technology. I don't bitch people out when they listen to "Dark Side of the Moon" clean, sober, and without playing Wizard of Oz on the TV next to them.

Double fuck the venues and artists that don't have pre-purchase warnings that state verbatim what their phone policy is and wait until you show up to the joint and read the handwritten sign someone put up five minutes before the doors open.

Learn to speak German. Get a translator ap on your phone. Pretend you know no English and whenever a guard comes up to you you have to use your phone to understand what they are saying. When they try to take it away start yelling in German about how you cannot understand them if they take your phone and you need to use it to translate what they are saying because you are very confused by their actions.

In no way would any of that be useful or make a point, but it could be a lot of fun.
