10 million droids infected with HummingBad.
I went to a sales pitch by Samsung recently, and they really hammered home their security improvements on Droids...

Ah, malware. I'm safe since I never install anything.
I was thinking about side-loading an apk of Pokemon Go this weekend, but maybe I'll skip it until I know more about HummingBad.

Stupid question, but why not just normal load it?

Pokemon Go isn't certified to work on ARM-based processors, so Google Play won't load it onto my Moto E 2nd Gen. But from what I've seen online it works just fine even though it's not supposed to be supported. So if I want to try it out I'll need to do a little workaround.

That's what I hate most about Androids. On a PC if I notice the slightest thing amiss, I can easily go into processes and notice something that doesn't belong, google it, and begin to remove it if I see fit.
I have no idea how to admin an android.

Root it, hook it up to your PC, have the proper software.
