There's this one venue in the area between downtown and the southern 'burbs where I know a few people. I haven't paid for admission in a long time and my drinks are usually half price. Also, I can sometimes weasel myself past security to the fenced area where the tour buses are parked. The end result being the incentive needed for me to check a show is much lower than other joints. Eve 6 rolled through town last night, so I figured what the hell. Unbeknowst to me, a buddy of mine was in attendance as well and went to high school with the two guitarists. Ended up getting a solid merch haul. Drumhead and a couple records (half their entire vinyl catalog) were inked. I also have to give them props for NOT playing half their new, post-hiatus album in the set. They kept it to a reasonable two songs. The bassist/singer also appeared to be on something the entire show. A lot of something. Consensus opinion was blow.
