Breaking News: If you let folks post anonymously, they'll say racist things.

The real problem is people taking them seriously, like this article. Are there racists? Of course, but these are nothing more than kids trying to get a rise out of others by saying shocking things.

I know of two gamers who got on a redhead's Twitch stream and were giving him shit. I know for a fact neither of them are bigoted against redheads. (In fact, one of them kinda, sorta has a thing for redheads...)

Exactly. The racist, sexist, and other -ist comments on the internet (and XBOX Live, etc) have almost nothing to do with racism, sexism, and other -isms. It's all about the easy insult. They know almost nothing about who they are talking/posting to and they want to be insulting. So they take whatever superficial information they have available and use it. That means if you have a girl's name they'll hurl sexist insults. If your profile or voice hints that you are black, hispanic, or asian then they will hurl racial insults. If you are a white male then either they will try to insult you by calling you homosexual or they may go for "basement-dweller" stereotypes.

None of that is because they normally have negative thoughts about the particular group they've insulted. Because they aren't racist/sexist/other-ist. They're just dumb and unable to make better insults.

Stranger and I were playing MW:O one night and by some miracle ended up on the redhead's Twitch stream. He said something negative about the other players in the game in the stream, and so we made a point to respond. I had a much higher match score than him and Stranger killed him. All the while having a fun time in private chat bashing "Andy Dalton".

And why did we call him Andy Dalton? Because he has red hair. What the hell else were we going to say? Like you said, we knew nothing about him. That didn't stop him from insulting all the people he was playing with, and vice versa.

Was that the night I was raining LRMs onto him?

Stranger will remember. I know we ran into him again, so it might have been the second encounter.

I do remember! The first time it was just Leisher and I and we were on the same team as him for a Community Warfare match. We tuned into his stream which had maybe 1000 viewers max and all he did was bitch about how some of us were up at the gates and hitting the enemies in the narrow corridor. I'm pretty sure Leisher and I both out damaged him and his cronies and afterwards in team chat I told "Andy Dalton" to eat a dick. He was in the middle of a sentence when it popped up all huge on his screen, he paused for a second as it sunk in and closed the window real fast. Since his stream was on a 5-10 second delay Leisher and I watched as it all happened, we were in tears from laughing so hard.

The second time he was on the other team. Leisher, Gordo, Cake and I were all playing. When we saw he was on the other team we made it a full on lance effort to eliminate the ginger. Yeah, Gordo was raining LRM's and I remember Cake actually got the kill shot in on him. Operation eliminate the ginger was a success. In stream he blamed his shitty teammates for letting him down..

So yeah, If you put yourself out on the internet for others to see you make yourself a target. I don't know this guy, but he had red hair and looked a lot like Andy Dalton so he was labeled, and brutally so..

Big name Twitch star leaves Twitch for MS Mixer.

I'm officially old because I have no idea who this person is at all.

Seen him on the Fortnite commercials. Or commercials for things related to Fortnite. "WIN A SESSION WITH NINJA" if you buy this phone, etc.

I like how Fortnite is a sanitized version of Rust. I feel like your average Rust die-hard player wouldn't be as great to have a "session" with.

HA! It's not the loud ones that that freak me out.

It's the weird quiet ones who only say bizarro shit that creep me out. Hide outside your house and talk like a goddamn alien.

Or the weird dom/slave thing that you see too. People starting a new game and asking for "daddy's" and to be "slaves". Fucking weiiiirdos.

I don't watch Twitch.

This is going to sound crazy to young people, but I don't watch people play video games, I actually play the games myself.

I don't either, but I've heard the name. He's been in memes.
