Director choosen.

Apparently, Reynolds is still attached too.

I was thinking about this movie, and I have to assume they'll play it like a franchise. Thus, I think if they can explain away the Deadpool that was in Wolverine: Origins as being a clone or something, they would not only be giving that movie an "out" (because soooooooooooooooooooo many people thought Deadpool was terrible), but they'd also be giving their franchise life to come forward in time and not be stuck in "Prequels".

it would be done the “right way — hard R.”

Good luck with that one.

Not enough sex jokes for a Rated R flick.
“It’s up to the studio,” Reynolds said. “The studio I think is reluctant to pull the trigger on such a hard Rated-R script. Then the guys who wrote it and the producers won’t make it unless it’s that hard and, you know, raunchy.”

How are they going to separate Deadpool-Wade Wilson from the ... whatever that half-formed concept of a character was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine who had the name Wade Wilson?

No worries.
Some old, humorless, dude in a suit who has never read a Marvel comic book in his life will figure it out.

They need to let Daniel Tosh write some of his dialog.

"X-Men fatigue"?

Fox is currently the king of turning out the worst superhero movies, so fuck them.

It's more likely they don't want to throw money at a character they completely fucked up.

Not when they have X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Men: Apocalypse, the third Wolverine film, and the new FF (which will more than likely suck) all in various stages of development.

At a certain point people want to see other movies besides comic book movies so you have to be really careful what you’re going to pick, and how many are going to be released within a year.

Translation: We've got jackshit and we know it. We've got a worse script than movies that have flopped.

I think most fans of the comics pretty much pretend that movie never happened anyway.

If it was an actual clip from the Deadpool movie, then I am going to go see the Deadpool movie.

From my understanding it is a CGI clip they did to see if there would be interest in a full budget Deadpool movie.
