Avengers Assembled is a comic that was created to feature those characters in The Avengers movie. It was a way of introducing comics to movie goers who might not be familiar with comics, but wanted more of what they saw on screen.
Anyway, they have added a new member to the team of Avengers, Spider-Woman.

It's being widely reported that ScarJo is getting $20 million for Avengers 2, so it appears that Wheadon and Downey's pressure is getting Marvel to open the pocketbook.
