There is no scientific evidence that transgender women athletes have a physical advantage over cisgender women athletes, but that hasn’t stopped Gaines from claiming they do. She insists they are “robbing” cisgender women of places on the podium, and she doesn’t care if it’s a 12- or 22-year-old that she’s putting in harm’s way in this overheated climate where ignorance and violence are celebrated equally.

"There’s nothing we can see in the reviewed literature, nothing reliable that would suggest there‘s an unfair advantage so far," said Debra Kriger, who as a research associate at E-Alliance was part of the team that reviewed available data and literature on the participation of transgender women in sport for the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport.

One of the few studies that did compare transgender women athletes with cisgender women athletes found transgender women had lower lung capacity and cardiovascular function, possibly putting them at a disadvantage.

There's a reason he's doing a "review" of every bathroom in Disney and no biological woman ever did. It's unnecessary, uninteresting, and just a cry for attention. And that's best case.
