This may shock you, but I agree. Unlike the petition signers from Australia and Canada...
...I, however, do think he deserves some jail time. Just not 45 years. He killed people. Doesn't matter if he intended to or not.
The real criminals are the people who issued this illegal a CDL. An illegal who, as the article fails to mention, didn't speak English and didn't know the meaning of the vast majority of road signs, and who clearly doesn't know the law considering he tried a U turn in the middle of the highway. Ultimately, they are responsible and should be charged criminally. I hope the family of the victims sues the state of CA.
