It's not 3 points - so a little disappointing considering Friday's whomping in San Jose.

But generally winning at home and tying on the road is the the formula to make it to the World Cup. Winning them all would be too, but it's not usually attainable.

We are doing fine now. Crisis semi-averted.

Puts us in 4th. Top 3 autoqualify, 4th place has a play-in against a different global group.

IIRC, we're 4 games in, with 6 games left.

SOMETHING - bomb/firecracker/?? just hit the BVB team bus in Germany. Presumably with Pulisic inside. Reports are barely any damage, injuries, one player going to hospital.

Whew - wunderkid is safe.

Three "serious explosive devices" hidden in a hedge. No bullshit according to initial reports.

They are saying it was a die-hard sect of the David Hasselhoff cult.

Just kidding, probably Islamic extremist inspired.

Wow - that's like, movie script crazy. Actually, wasn't there a James Bond with a similar plot line?

He was seriously trying to kill a significant portion of the team. Holy shit.

E: He was a Capitalist Extremist. (not mine)

UCL final on right now. Superbowl of Superbowls for soccer in Europe.

Look at this absolutely ridiculous goal:

Big World Cup qualifiers tomorrow and Sunday for the US men's team.

Looked okish in the tune-up last weekend. Made a ton of subs, so it was hard to get in a rythm.

18 year old wonderboy with the goal for us. Our young hype might be our best player sooner than later. Slots this home with his weak foot:

I believe back on track to qualify, in the third position in CONCAF. Tough, tough game on Sunday in Mexico city. Anything more than zero points is a win.

85' in... if I post about it being a tie, do I doom the team?

There are 4 more games.... we're 60% of the way through qualifying... we did it means we scored a point. However, the #2 and #4 teams in our bracket play the #5 and #6 teams, so it's likely we could fall back to 4th, but Mexico's the best team in our group. We then play each of the other 4 teams, so our chances are decent.

Winning the Gold Cup has to be a big step towards the World Cup...?
