On the bright side, it doesn't get worse than that, right? I mean imagine inviting hundreds of prospects you're recruiting to come watch that game.
Ooooohhhh shit. That hurts.
UNC beat FSU with FSU hosting a bunch of recruits.
And, at least they have a speech now: "Come here and we'll probably only lose by 50-something!"

He looks more like me than you.
Hmmm... how old is he? I was single back then...
Nice, hope the college football thing works out for him.

Ivy Leaguers make it to the NFL every once in a while. What position does he play? WR? CB?

Looks like he plays WR and RB. I didn't see any defensive stats for him, but at 5'11" he may want to try CB. that being said, 5'11" probably is pretty good for Ivy League.

BTW they beat that team they hadn't beaten in a decade. My nephew's first year on the team.

Florida players mock dead dog. Classless, but I'll bet Mike Vick laughed.
Is Brian Kelly in trouble?
Some of these jobs are already open, some are rumored to be coming open:
LSU
Purdue
USC
Penn State
Texas
Oregon
Baylor
Bama
Florida State
Notre Dame
The big name coaches to fill said jobs are Tom Herman (who is also being courted by the NFL), Les Miles, and if this is true, Brian Kelly.
This will be an interesting off season.

I would be stunned (well, not 100%, but mostly) if Texas' job was open at the end of the year. That'd just be stupid.
FSU - Are you assuming he's leaving for LSU?
ND - Kelly's done a lot of good. But it is a rough year.

I'm kind of stunned you'd be stunned. Every network that covers Texas and every "expert" show has Texas firing Charlie Strong unless he finishes 6-0.
I agree with you that it seems dumb to fire coaches so quickly, but...
Look at OSU and Michigan with Meyer and Harbaugh. Immediate turnarounds. Meyer took a 6-7 team and went 12-0 with them his first year. He should have won the national championship against Notre Dame. However, stupid ass Gene Smith let the team play in some lame Christmas bowl the year prior, and thus, we were banned by the NCAA from bowls Meyer's first year. So you're welcome Nick Saban because Alabama shouldn't even have been in that game. Meanwhile, in his second year Harbaugh has Michigan undeafeted, and they should be when they come to Columbus on Thanksgiving weekend.
So what's Charlie Strong doing?
-The recruiting classes haven't been great, which is a huge sin in Texas as they're one of the "Top 5" football states.
-Texas has regressed badly on the defensive side of the ball, which is Charlie's expertise.
-Texas' biggest booster thinks Charlie Strong is a great position coach, but shouldn't be the head coach.
-And a bunch of other reasons you should watch those pre/post game shows to hear.
FSU - Are you assuming he's leaving for LSU?
Yep. If he doesn't the FSU job won't be open.
ND - Kelly's done a lot of good. But it is a rough year.
He has, and honestly, who can Notre Dame get to replace him? Your school is remote, religious, has much higher academic standards, you're not in a conference, and you're sitting in the middle of Big Ten country with Ohio State and relevant again michigan.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Bama being on my list. I've covered this before, but if Bama wins this year I think Saban heads to TV. He's told a lot of people close to him that he's almost done and doesn't want to be Bowden or Paterno.

Texas - Well, stunned is probably too strong of a word. But it's stupid. The recruiting has improved each year, give him another year.
Bama - you covered it before, so I was just letting it slide. I have nothing to add or say there.
ND - I agree. I don't see an up for them.

Nephew got taken out with a concussion last Friday, once he was gone his team lost. He will be missing his last high school game.

Former Hoosier writes tell all.
He claims he didn't write it to bash Knight, and I believe him. What I don't believe is the accounts of physical abuse he claims.
I do think Knight laid hands on players, but not in the way this guy alleges. It was far more acceptable for a coach to be physical with players when I played, let alone when this guy played. I'm sure Knight was physical with him, but I think he's over-inflating the claims the sell a book.

At least we don't have to worry about the Big 12 being in the playoffs.

It's actually a mess right now.
Bama is the only remotely qualified team from the SEC, so if they stumble and don't win their conference championship...
The Big Ten East might end in a nightmare 3 team tie only to meet a tiebreaker winner from the other side.
The Pac 12 is Washington and nobody else.
The Big 12 sucks and doesn't have a championship game anyway.
Is it the year of the ACC?
