Catt, it does cover all the DLC. What it doesn't cover are the two things that came out this week, but that's because they weren't officially DLC. Those two things were add-ons to those who purchased the collector's edition of the game.

It covers 4 DLC.

Mechromancer, not included.

Any beyond the 4, not included.

I've really enjoyed this game, certainly beyond the $30 I paid for it, but I'm still not convinced there's $30 of value in the DLC.

I mean, $100+ for a game? Really?

Are yall doing all side missions as well, or just the main story stuff? I assume side?

We typically do all side missions and attempt the bonus challenges, with varying success.

Last night we were a single kill away from killing 100 bandits... in the correct way... when some one screwed it up. I suspect a shield nova effect or something like that.

Turrets do FF.

You know that room in the Wildlife Exploitation Preserve where Jimmy Jenkins and the other mini robots spawn from those four boxes?

I dropped my turret in there when someone opened a box, and within seconds, all four of us were fighting for our life.

The bullets and rockets don't directly do damage, I think? However, the splash damage from the rockets hurts.

I assume the "two" you're referring to are...

1) Borderlands 2: Collector's Edition Pack
2) Borderlands 2: Creature Slaughterdome

The first one looks like new skins and heads with one new item. It's $5. The second was actually available if you preordered through Gamestop. They're now making it available to everyone. It's also $5. Season Pass is $30. It's good for 4 DLC that'd normally be $10 a pop. Preordering the game from anywhere netted you a golden key and access to the Mechro. Think I paid $50 for my preorder. If you got your BL2 for $30, even if you tack on the Mechro, you're at a couple Jacksons. If the Season Pass got you everything, no one would preorder. There was a ridiculous preorder ultra mega vault hunter edition or some shit that was a few hundred, I think. Lastly, remember you're talking mainly to dudes who've shelled out for a MMOG at some point in the past.

Wow...

I didn't realize when I was first doing it that you had to do it 25/25/25/25... I thought you could kill 150, and just had to do 25 of each... needless to say I came nowhere near doing it right.

I'll leave this for Leish. His anti-EA'ness should take care of things.

I normally don't have a problem with a whole series of over priced DLC sets for games. Because normally I buy them so far after release that I'm paying $20 for the entire GOTY Platinum edition that includes everything ever made for the game ever. But, since I bought BL2 near release, I'm finding it hard to participate in the DLC stuff.

BL2 is currently murdering Dishonored at the g4tv vid game of the year thing. Talking more than a 3:1 advantage.

Congrats! Now go through it again with the same character. It gets harder...

Not to mention the DLCs, which seem to be very worth the cost of the season pass.

Stranger and I have touched on the Campaign of Carnage DLC, and it's hilarious.

Saw a bit at my buddy's. I kept hoping Mr. Torgue would body slam someone then snap into a Slim Jim.

EDIT: Also in the process of solo'ing with Axton. Just took out Midgemong. Going to escort Claptrap to his ship. I do lots of sniping, already got more sniper kills/challenges at level 7 than a 20-something Zer0. Got the turret a couple levels ago, helps immensely. Going to see if I can shoot up the double turret tree.

In addition, will be out of town from Friday evening to Wednesday afternoon. Fortunately, this is just many days we'd otherwise not play, but it does mean we may want to hit Wednesday and Thursday this week ... might even finish the core sidequests and main story if Morty Seinfeld can keep awake.

Look at their track records.

EA's history is a graveyard of beloved franchised destroyed in the name of a quick buck, and customer service that would make any state's DMV jealous.

Gearbox bundled all of their DLC into one package that is honestly low cost. By the time all four are out, you'll be talking about as much game as the main game, and for $20 less. EA doesn't do that.

Also, the two things that were released that weren't part of the Season Pass were special exclusives elsewhere. I have no issue with those being additional purchases because some folks paid more initially to get them. Charging everyone else for them later means those initial folks didn't get fucked by buying them right out of the gate.

The price point also seemed perfect for discounting. I know that sounds odd, but let's see if they aren't listed at $2.50 or 50% during the next Steam sale.

EA has gone on record as saying sales are stupid, and Valve is destroying the industry by having them...

Point being, Gearbox has more leeway because they don't have a track record as a disgustingly greedy corporation who shits on good products and customers in the name of making a buck. (Not that I'm against capitalism, but making money shouldn't involve fucking people unless you're in prostitution or porn.)

Malcolm, my mechromancer has an Assassin mod that adds 36% melee damage and gives +3 skill points in...something. Sound useful?
