I looked into getting the wall sockets with USB plugs awhile back, but had trouble finding them with 2.1 amps (most are 1 amp, so they take a lot longer to charge things).
I ended up buying a power strip that also had 4 USB plugs (2 were 2.1A). I like that better, as I don't have any convenient plugs in my living room.
I use a 10' USB cable with it as well.

I think it'll be easier to clean a normal hair brush that it'd be to put that insert back on that "easy to clean" hair brush.

Quite possible if you have no life and very steady hands. The figures in the scene are all connected by at least a line. The biggest bitch would be isolated figures, like the four-legged thing immediately to the right of the chick in the extreme lower left, but he hides it in the grass. The real trick is getting the grey hues the correct intensity in the correct places for proper contrast.

But it looks like it's the real deal. Here's one she did live on TV in one hour. It's not quite as detailed, but if that's one hour of work then the more complicated ones are not impossible.
