Just drove by one of the local mexican restaurants, it appeared to be closed.

Fuck them, I'll never eat there again.

Had I been 2 minutes slower leaving work today, I woulda been stuck behind one of these.

I saw some dumb cunt today say, "People are mainly opposed to this protest because they are racist."

Well fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck you.

Heh. I saw a quote from someone who hired illegal aliens to be day laborers...

"We all shop at Target and Walmart and all their stuff is being made with overseas labor anyways..."

I saw a lot of illegals standing around not working today down in Pasadena.

Looked like any other Monday, to be honest.

I'm so digusted at some of the bullshit I've heard today, I'm never again going to these places that shut down today.

But how can you tell which closed down out of protest, and which wanted to open but had to close down simply because none of the workers showed up today?

Either they are sympathetic, or they employ a sympathetic, and therefore unstable and undependable, staff. I don't want any mexicans spitting in my food because they don't like white people, today.

Screw them either way.

Just read a pretty funny view... the guy said that he didn't see any serious problems in the "Day without Immigrants" day,.... so he's suggesting 365 more of them.

And btw, I love how this crap got spun from "Nothing Gringo" to "A Day Without Immigrants." I couldn't help but notice all the Japanese-Americans out there marching, the Laotian refugees from the 70's,etc etc.

They aint immigrants. They are trespassers.

Actually, it started as a week without immigrants, and they toned it down to a day without immigrants. The nothing gringo part was tacked on later.

I thought it was great. No traffic on the freeways going to and from work (I work near a construction site with tons of dickheads always showing off on the drive there). No day laborers down the street from my house. We should do this more often.

Been half a day and haven't had 1 Mexican. I mowed my own lawn in protest.

Kick ass.

And my wife is in agreement with me. "Fuck them... if we need to eat mexican food, we'll find one owned by a real american that didn't celebrate 'white people suck' day."

I guess that means Carlos O'Kelly's, Chi Chi's, Don Pablos, etc.

A group of eight of my coworkers here where I work was planning to go to Gringo's for lunch today. Since six of them are latinas, I didn't try to attack the issue directly. Instead, I brought a DVD of the musical episode of Buffy to work, and we snagged the conference room with the huge video projector and instituted the first "Friday Lunchtime Theater" session.

Lunch came from Subway instead of Gringos. I have done my part.

That sounds like a pyhrric victory to me.

Well, I ended up with a date for tonight with the one I sat beside. All in all, I think it turned out well.

A what victory?

Dictionary.com says you are full of it.

Of course, this wouldn't be the first time Dictionary.com didn't have a word.

Ah, now it all makes sense. That was a veiled assault on Buffy. Jolly Good, Tally Ho and all that.
I agree entirely with Malcom.
Cheerio then.
