So, it's fantasy. Free power, and in reality if no one was there to care for the place it'd be covered in graffiti and feces within a week.
Not everyone lives in Houston.

Even if the thing actually was getting it all from solar, then yeah, I could see some "just want to watch the world burn" types throwing a gallon of paint across the panels. Like, every friday night.

EA learns nothing. Sim City released for Macs, a full SIX MONTHS after the clusterfuck that was the PC drop.
A number of users reportedly have been unable to install the game after download, while others simply can't get it to launch on their machine...

Ouch, but it gets better. So much better.
Others, meanwhile, have complained about a faulty "Install" button, which provides no error message but merely does nothing when clicked. EA suggested re-installing Origin and opting into the new Beta version.

WOW. I can't remember the last time I had a workaround that involved "install the beta version of [insert software here]."

In other news, this month's PC Gamer mag has a list of the "best" 100 free games out there. I'll be handing that issue off to my son so he can have fun not buying EA's SimCity.

Maxis axed.
Electronic Arts is shutting down its primary Maxis studio in Emeryville, Calif., which was responsible a number of uber-popular games like the latest SimCity, Spore, and The Sims.

Fuck EA. I hope all the companies they helped kill zombie back to life and destroy EA.
