Also, I think you're grossly underselling the mental harm this can do to the spouse that was cheated on. The lack of trust it creates in them going forward, the resetting of their life, the destruction of their hope/optimism/etc.

Far more interestingly though, I wonder if our own sexual proclivities have something to do with our opinions here?

But she also got divorced 3 years ago in 2022, then married someone she had been working with since 2020, so... she just brings chaos.

To be fair, for all we know, this was spouse approved. Maybe her husband's a cuck? Maybe Astronomer guy's wife said, "Go get it elsewhere but don't embarrass me or I'll respond appropriately." I've known people with similar deals.
