To be fair, Cruz's thing is hilarious. However, your point is strong because this is the first I've heard of the Seattle mayor thing.

One reporter got torched (rightfully) for including both in one tweet referring to the "Cruz porn video" (which sort of implied it might be a video of him [gross]) and "Seattle mayor resignation" implying absolutely nothing as to why he resigned. It was pretty disgusting.

Another day, another Republican in trouble online.

Maybe the GOP should hold some sensitivity training?

I get that she was posting about assholes blocking roads, but how did she think this wouldn't be used against her?

Roy Moore won an election in Alabama against a "GOP/Trump backed" candidate and the political world is apparently nervous.

This part here is hilarious and shows why both parties are so fucking clueless:
The Alabama race is the latest contest forcing both parties to take seriously candidates they once might have dismissed as unelectable. Early in 2016, several prominent Democrats exulted in Donald Trump’s meteoric rise, urging fellow liberals to support his nomination on the grounds that it would virtually guarantee a Republican defeat. Then he won the election.

Some Democrats similarly cheered Moore’s ascent, arguing that he’d be easier to take down in the December general election.

It's ok, it's Alabama. He thought she was his underage sister.
But to be pointlessly clear...14 is generally not considered pedophilia

I had a completely naked 14 year old girl hit on me. You would not have thought she was 14 if you had not already known.

I did nothing.... until 4 years later.

This is a story that's a bit heavy on recollections and thin on evidence. I'm leaning towards believing this guy is a scum bag, but not sure how much of all this is legit and how much is piling on.

Certainly a large number of voices there. And aligns with some of the accusations.

This one was the story that seemed to break the back of the deniers. I don't think those cops and ex-cops fwho were cited and remembered him being banned have anything to gain. That WTF yearbook signing of the sixth accuser was what did it for me.

Ready for everyone too agree that preying on teenage girls is bad, and move on, without Moore.

The minute those accusations hit, guilty or not, he should have stepped aside.

The statement could read: "The accusations are not true, and I will not stop fighting them until my name is clear. However, nobody can win an election with such accusations floating around, nor should they."

Depends on the state... :D

No state outlaws hitting on teenage girls.

I think "hitting on" and "preying on" are two completely different things.

But I'm not ok with a grown ass man hitting on a 13 year old either.

As long as we agree 18 and 19 year olds are fair game.
