Exact same thing happened to me, with the exact same result.
Neat.

Well, I missed out. What was the additional thing like?

Basically a rescue mission to the same place where you save Carson in the "The Good, the Bad, and the Mordecai" mission.
Instead of a WAR Loader being there, there's a WAR Loader and a Constructor.

Haven't been there yet.... So basically, it gets even harder?

It's harder because the Constructor constantly makes more bots.
However, if you have the right weapons and tactics, you'll be fine.
Just remember with the robots to aim for their joints.

Bots? Load up on corrosive. Miss Moxxi's Bad Touch should destroy them. Course, it's about $20K. Chews through them like Pez, though.

The problem i had with it this go.round was yeah, i was loaded up with corrode weapons.... and this thing had a strong ass shield.

Yeah corrosive = friend on bots. Mostly, I just focused on the single one holding the guy, and used RPG to blow it up, letting my turret do its job on everything else.
Ah, I also had grenades that target shields... whichever damage that is.

Oh yeah, forgot about the shields they've got.

At this point I've gotten everything out of the slots possible except the triple borderlands / orange weapon and the 4-eridium 12-spew.
Does anyone actually use character skins, or just sell them off?

I'm L17. Was exploring today and found a new place full of L20-22 creatures. My critical headshots were no longer one shots.

I apply the customizations (skins/heads). If I get dupes, I sell them.
The trip triple eridium will come, just give it a bit. I've seen Leish and Cake hit it, and I have as well. I have yet to see trip logos, though.

Dont really care about trip eridium, unless it gives me an achievement or such. For customization - any reason to use them? Just look pretty or something?

Trip logos or trip triple eridium unlocks a Sanctuary challenge. Customizations are entirely cosmetic*. However, as the '80s taught me, nothing is more important than looking cool.
* there comes a part in the game where cosmetic temporarily matters

I collect all the skins I can get. I just like having options. I'll change up my character's look prior to each gaming session just because. Plus, it only takes 10 seconds.
Triple eridium is a challenge and might be an achievement, not sure.
I have yet to hit triple BL symbols or triple bells. I've hit everything else.
By the way Catt, if you're new to BL you should know that the next playthrough is even more fun as the enemies get ramped up even further.

Does the next playthough start over at L1, or continue on? I cant imagine much harder challenges than I was going through.
Guess I'll have to find out what a Sanctuary Challenge is.

At the end of playthrough 1, you get all your gear and levels, etc. when you start playthrough 2. It also unlocks "True Vault Hunter" mode, which ups the difficulty level on the enemies.

Challenge, not achievement. Achievements mean jackshit as far as in-game rewards.

Finally got a ton of slot eridium last night. Got about 36 units in only 80 pulls, maxed out storage.

Backpack and bank storage will go a longer way in solo mode. I've almost never had my pack filled up playing co-op with 3 other folk.
