Right? Like 99% of the people on-screen died. They even had the catacombs surprise, but nothing.

I thought I saw Gendry and Gilly die at one point but I think it was just dimly lit look-alikes.

I totally get the "dark" that would go along with an army of the dead. But once they lit the big fire moat they could have relaxed the the realism a bit.

e: also it was on a 6PM West Coast time which is still bright as hell outside.

In the dark it was hard to tell. As far as I can tell, they both lived.

Didn't like all the dark. Yeah fine fog-of-war realism, but how about SHOW the actors ACTING like there is fog-of-war so the audience can say, "huh, fog-of-war is thick," instead of, "who was that?"

Our TV does adaptive contract/brightness, so the super dark scenes were still kinda visible. It wasn't as bad as the complaints I've been seeing today, certainly.

Also, it was night, and I have blackout shades on half the windows in that room.

I think it's a general filmmaking failure when the viewer literally cannot tell who a main character is, during a scene. Over and over

At this point, I kinda hope all the humans die, and only the 2 dragons are left, and one's a boy + one's a girl.

Although, I'm also equally content with them being same-sex, and just watching the world go back to animals + trees as they live out their last years.

Just watched it tonight. Somehow I avoided all spoilers while in Vegas.

I'm a huge fan of TV Shows that promise a massive threat for YEARS only to get rid of it in a single episode... Clearly they saw how awesomely received The Last Jedi was and thought the Snoke scene was perfection because this was basically the same shit.

Love how NK could see Arya's attack coming, but couldn't foresee her dropping the knife to kill him.

Where did the second dragon disappear to during the last 20 minutes?

Why could Arya fight a dozen of the dead without issue, but then reverted to a little girl immediately after? That made no sense.

Who designed the strategy for Winterfell because they suck. Remember when this show had some cool military tactics? This was simply bashing two armies together.

Hey, let's just charge into darkness with our entire cavalry. That makes sense. You know what wouldn't make sense? Having them come in from the left or right after the dead have exposed themselves and engaged the other forces.

How about having your army INSIDE the fire wall and firing out for as long as possible?

Why'd the fire witch kill herself?

He was hurt, apparently, and, uh, resting.

Yeah, it's supposed to show how overwhelming the threat was that even she started to break down.
Leisher wrote: Why'd the fire witch kill herself?
She served the lord of light, right? So her destiny was to help kill the Night King, and the end? Eh, fuck if I know.

That episode has gotten the lowest fan ranking on... RT or.something... than any other episode.

Also the filmatographer (or whatever) made some pissy comment about how it wasn't too dark, because it looked just fine on his.million dollar.editing rig. What an idiot.

If she had waited a couple weeks for troops to heAl up, then maybe Euron's fleet would have been out if position and she wouldn't have lost another dragon.

And Mithrandi or whatever should have jumped when Cassie grabbed her arm.

Danny is becoming paranoid. Guessing she'll get murdered when she tries to cook the townsfolk.

I've got to say, the writing this season has kind of sucked. You can sorta tell they outran the author.
