OSU Twitter is celebrating the news.
He wasn't offered the Minnesota job. Minnesota wants a young offensive mind who believes in analytics.

If I was the AD at TTUN, I'd pull the new contract that was on the table for Harbaugh.
Why would you give him more money for not being able to find a job elsewhere? He's just going to do the same thing next year.

What Harbaugh did to TTUN is fucking bullshit, but how their athletics department is celebrating his return is just sad. He doesn't want to be there anymore. This drama just confirmed what every recruiter from other schools have been telling recruits, "He doesn't want to be there and will leave for the NFL."

Ya, he's fucked. And so are we. He's gonna have to figure something out, and fast. And it's not sad. It's required. We have to act like this is a good thing. It's how sales works. I hope they didn't raise his pay TOO much. But they probably did. He shouldn't be rewarded for last year because he won't repeat it. It was an all in fluke (he called in a lot of favors I'm guessing) with tons of outside support that isn't there any more.

You are correct about the sell job Cake. Because this is a crock of shit:
He has stated publicly that he wants to end up back West. Ditto for coaching in the NFL again. He was linked to the Raiders job and then interviewed with the Vikings, but we're supposed to believe getting rejected made him have a complete change of heart within 48 hours? Anyone who believes this is an idiot.

tldr: OSU sucks and missed bigtime and would have won the NCAA if he had played.

You must be an LSU fan. They are big mad today because Burrow gave an interview stating he is and always will be a Buckeye. The guy graduated from OSU. WTF do they expect him to say?

TTUN's OC leaves for the same position at The U.
How did Harbaugh turn an appearance in the CFP into this disaster?
He flirts with the NFL, doesn't get an offer, pretends he wants to be back, and loses his DC and OC. This is crazy late in the game and he hadn't even been looking for a new DC, let alone having to now replace his OC. I wonder if his brother has more interns he can send him?

And Twitter just informed me of this:
Former Michigan OC learned that the alumni would never ever let him become the head coach at Michigan so he left. Hurt feelings on his end for sure. But also don’t sleep with recruits’ moms and expect the Ann Arbor aristocracy to turn a blind eye like they will in Miami.
WTF!?
There’s a certain Sophomore WR at Texas for a reason.
Who left for Texas?

I wouldn't say broken.
How about "Heavily weighted in favor of larger and richer programs and universities"?
Oh, and the NCAA has no idea how to correct this or enforce rules right now.

So the NCAA is broken. But kids getting paid seems to be working fine.

Are they being paid legally per the system? Are we making public their payments? (The IRS wants to know that...) But going public with them to spur competition?

I dont think the IRS cares if it's public, just that it gets its paper.

What is legal? What isn't? Generally, paying people is legal.
