Screw it. Humanity is doomed anyway. Just put me in my hover chair now and WALL-E can take care of me. I'll vote for whomever's game studio puts out the best games.
Then the Chinese will hack us and turn us into the Matrix anyway, and you'll just think you're voting for the best game.
"You know, I know this steak doesn't exist. I know that when I put it in my mouth, the Matrix is telling my brain that it is juicy and delicious. After nine years, you know what I realize? Ignorance is bliss."

Right? How many people would kill for steak every day?
It's like 2.7% of their cash on hand. Or 0.5% of their annual revenue. So, yeah, not much, but a little noticeable.

Corporate fines need to be some percentage of their annual revenue. Big enough that it'd piss off Wall St, and thus, make it unprofitable or career suicide for the C Suite to authorize illegal stuff.

So let's see the chain of events that would have the happen there:
Something something lawmakers are bribed to make sure that never happens.

New iPadPro is interesting. Mostly because it's fast enough that it can 1) work live with videos from multiple devices, time sync them and then easy switch cameras. porn Independent Movie production looks much easier. It can also take a song, and separate out the tracks (vocal, drums, etc). No idea how well it does on the latter, but that's cool.
Forget outsourcing McDonald's drive through people to India. Going to be AI soon.
My "fully automated fast food restaurants" prediction is going in an interesting direction.

You'll need one person working there to unblock jams. (Like a printer.) He or she will have no access to money. Cash will be no longer be accepted.

Automated restaurants sure are taking longer than I would have guessed decades ago.

Minimum wage hasn't gone up, workers have remained cheaper than robots.

This is pretty cool, but also makes me wonder why we didn't already have it.

I don't understand why they saved the pretty colors for the shitty phones. Why are the good ones ugly?

Dude...that has been my complaint for years. I know why. Businesses buy the Pros. They're sold. Regular consumers get the other phones and since they're shittier, they give them a nice paint job.

I really like that purple in the regular line. Would buy. I don't need another grey/black/white phone.

There was a dark purple in the Pro line two years ago, but they quickly went back to black, gray, white, and gold.

Brand new Mac Books dropped today. Kinda tempted. They're good for photo/video stuff, supposedly. And I feel like every Windows laptop I get just doesn't perform as well as it should (cooling issues, too much Antivirus, etc). I dunno, maybe. $$$$ though.
Anyone here use one?

My wife does. But she's not a power user, so. . Doesn't play most of her games. She has just as many browser issues as she does with her Windows desktop. I mean, I could go on and on with stuff, but most of it is just stuff she didn't take the time to master:
Where did the file I just downloaded go?
I downloaded this installer, but don't just double click it to launch it, move it to this other icon folder thing, and then it gets installed. Do I have to keep this file in the other icon thing? No idea.
It does a lot of stuff just different enough from Windows that to me, it's a pain in the ass. To her, she loves it and all things should be Apple. It's light. It's pretty. It doesn't do any of the annoying things Windows does (but lets not discuss its list of annoying things), etc. She's not a total Apple fan girl. She just likes pretty things. So she puts up with all the 'Apple' shit that's different from Windows. Couldn't talk about stability issues, because she never complains about anything. But she has talked about the beachball of death thing. So I know there's issues, she just hides them from me. And again, puts up with it because the machine is sexy looking. She LOVES when her Mac auto arranges her open apps/windows. FUCKING hates it when Windows does it. . . If she could, she'd go full Mac. But she knows she can't because there's things Windows just does better, or Mac doesn't do. As far as work, etc, there's nothing her Mac can do that Windows can't.
I'm guessing you'll take the time to learn the Apple stuff and be fine with it. So downloading and installing won't be an issue. There' s no ctrl, but there's a cmd button. Almost a one for one trade, but not quite (cause why would it be?).
