1. It is ok to be transgender

2. It is not ok for a transgendered woman with a XY chromo advantage in physique to dunk on biological females in their sports leagues

The sex was agreed upon. The aggressiveness and language were not, but does it turn the agreed upon sex into rape? I say no. I mean, where's the line?

Now that being said, I would consider what the guy did to Aella sexual assault. Words are important. People need to stop labeling everything with the biggest, most damning words possible because they lose meaning when you do that.

Tough question. I'm not a woman, so I don't have their mindset. I also wouldn't sell my body to randoms for pocket change. I would for real money... That's sounds like I'm judging her, but I'm really not. Just saying I wouldn't do it, so it's hard for me to put myself in that situation. I certainly wouldn't grab a lamp that most hotel rooms do NOT have. I think her worrying about being murdered is a bit overboard, although I would grant her that statistically she's put herself in a prime position despite overall statistics saying she'll be fine (Most people don't get murdered, but sex workers are more likely to be murdered.).

I think she needs to learn how to control a situation. Stuff like that is going to happen if you're a sex worker. They were in a hotel. She could have easily said something to the guy, like "You can talk as nasty as you want, and be rough, but you are not allowed to hurt me. Understand?" It's a public place, so any scream could alert others. Dude is probably married, worried about losing his career, or going to jail. And she's an escort, so I assume she works through an agency. Point being, others know he's with her, so murdering her means the end of his life. I think she imagined she was in more danger than she was actually in.

She really needed to set the tone BEFORE the sex began.

As far as I know a) she charges solid rates <based on a posting this year, so who knows about the past though>, and b) She's independent (but again, maybe she started out with an agency? She's in NY, afaik).

Maybe it was her first time in that situation, and she didn't know how to react. Hopefully she controlled it from then on.
