In 1997 my college micro economics professor used the cocaine trade as an example of a mature economy.
He finished the lecture with, "And that's why there's no way in hell the 'War on Drugs' can possibly succeed, as they're doing it. Math doesn't lie."

Please tell me someone explained drug pricing to him Catt.
As for the war on drugs, it could have been won, but they didn't want to win.
They honestly had two ways to win:
1. Invade other countries. Kill the fuck out of drug cartels. Death penalty for drug offenders here.
2. Get into the drug business and undercut all the cartels.

Geez you'd have to literally be the most powerful nation on earth to do that, though.

Give Ohio an asterisk. We legalized it, and even made it a constitutional right, but the republicans are holding it up with regulatory bullshit. They've literally said "we don't care what the people want, we know what's good for them."

They're just trying to figure out how they're going to get a cut.

People use pot daily > People drink daily.
Alcohol is still more widely used, but 2022 was the first time this intensive level of marijuana use overtook daily and near-daily drinking, said the study’s author, Jonathan Caulkins, a cannabis policy researcher at Carnegie Mellon University.
...
In 2022, an estimated 17.7 million people reported using marijuana daily or near-daily compared to 14.7 million daily or near-daily drinkers, according to the study.

I would need to hear it to decide.
This is a no judgment zone. Remember, for a few minutes yesterday you thought I believed in celebrities being swapped out for lookalikes.

You weren't wrong, BUT...she's had to quit. She's going into a program where they drug test you and despite it being legal here, you can't have it in your system.
I think MI taking over is easily explainable. MI is far more accessible than CA and doesn't have their COL. Also, it's surrounded by states without legal marijuana. Now that OH has legalized it, that should change.

That is absolutely a complete crock of shit.
Your heart isn't at risk of exploding if you drink whisky. Whisky doesn't rip apart the cartilage in your nose rapidly.
