Either way he's a huge asshole and deserves it.

Was doing some work at a Tesla dealership today. A protest /picket? broke out late in the day. Just as it was starting to rain.

I very much wanted to stop and ask questions, but immediately figured it would be a huge waste of time and probably pretty depressing.

I hope there's a follow-up with the jail time.

1) Alienate your leftwing (majority) car buyers by joining the administration.
2) Bail on the administration, get into fight with Trump, alienate the other half of your car buyers.

Large egos don't do subtlety or compromise.

Trump supporters never liked Elon to begin with, so he didn't lose them. Never had them. Working at a site last year, a guy doing HVAC says "I don't mind doing work here and getting some of Elon's money, but I'd never drive one of his faggot cars". Since the left liked them back in the day, it was required that the right hate him. I don't think he did enough to upset that balance.

They kissed and made up.
