I was going to suggest we have different catagories of blizzards as well. But I'd rather just have blizzard defined as "Unless you have a snow mobile and some way to dig your way to the top of the snow from your garage, you are stuck inside for the next 3-5 days". Anything less is just 'snow'. In my opinion, we didn't have a blizzard, we just got some snow. I refuse to call it a blizzard.

Just snow with no wind can be a blizzard if it falls under the less than half mile (I think) visibility. And as old as I am I can not recall tons of snow falling with no wind. May have happened but I don't recall.
