I've been to the Belmont Grille he mentioned in the article. Hell, I've been there a few times. Personally, I think Huey's has a better burger (another local chain, about 5 restaurants) and Belmont won't sell you the kitchen sink, even though it's on the menu. I know, we tried.

Huey's unimpressed me twice, and tried to choke me once. I lifted the bun to put ketchup on a burger there once, and found the cellophane off of one of those cellophane toothpicks.
And the chili was burnt all to hell. Fuck Huey's.

Ruby Tuesday's road trip report:
Had lunch at a RT a little east of Raleigh, NC. Ordered a "plain jane" burger. Was cooked medium to order, and had pink inside. A very good burger.
Had lunch (a different day) in a RT somewhere in West Virginia. Noticed the menu did not have the full huge selection of different burgers.... maybe 50% of the number of varieties I'm used to. Ordered "Ruby's Minis" for the first time, which means you get 4 tiny burgers instead of one big one. They were "ok," but I think I prefer my burger big and thick and juicy.
