Ummmm. So does the SLI. The differences that I saw were that you are getting dual 1 GB ethernet and some extra RAID options. So wanted to know what cool things you had planned.
Also, if you bought from NewEgg, they just put that motherboard on sale for $150. Perhaps you can bug them for the difference being that you JUST order from them. You are technically still in the return period.

Ahh, different versions of deluxe. You have a different north bridge. It also looks like you have better SLI capabilities. The SLI, deluxe and premiums do SLI at 8x, not 16x. The SPP does it at 16x. Wonder when the SPP came out. And what I'd REALLY like to know, is why the SLI, deluxe and premium all say they have 2 16x PCI-e slots, when they don't. They are 16x and 1x, and 2 8x when in SLI mode. At no point do the boards have 2 16x, which the specs say they do. What the fuck? In either case, the SPP was out of my price range. But knowing that I've got 8x SLI and not 16x (which I thought I did), I many not have even sprung for the SLI and just done a standard board. Bullshit lier fuckers. . . Read the specs on all the A8N SLI boards, and tell me it doesn't say they have two 16x PCIe slots. Lying fucking ass munchers. Under what circumstances does one have TWO 16x PCIe slots? Just glad they only screwed me out of $20 per board. So, not a HUGE bleeding rape wound. Just a stinging one. Still, pisses me off.
I only saw 'Deluxe' on your board. Didn't notice the SPP.
That was my exact thought. But a second card at bargin prices when I need another boost to video performance. Guess I shouldn't have assumed that when NewEgg (and even Asus) says the board I'm buying has 2 16x slots, that it actually has 2 16x slots.
Something to think about though.. . watch the market. Make sure you catch a second identical video card (cause that's a requirement) before they are no longer made/available. For example, is the video card you bought 2 years ago still available in an identical form? Just something to think about.
