I dislike the character of Captain Marvel, disliked the GRRRRL POWER moment because it was so clumsy, and dislike Brie Larson as a person.

I think it's ok because she said she didn't like me and my son, first.

Plus her.movie sucked.

Both points are fair.

Also, she hated you and your son because of the color of your skin, yet somehow, that's socially acceptable.

It's being made now.
I wish they'd released it in place of Captain Marvel and saved her for after they wrapped this up. She added nothing to the story telling and was more a negative than a positive.
Leisher wrote:Horrifically cringe-worthy. No subtlety to it at all. The moment from Infinity War was miles better where Black Widow and Okoye show up to help the Scarlet Witch.
You know, that one never even registered as a "girl power" sort of set up when it happened, so I'm with you. I fear that one in Endgame was a foreshadowing that they are in fact going full wokescold moving forward.

Bringing that "Who was the real bad guy in Avatar" discussion to here...

Was Tony Stark the actual villain in Endgame?

Remember, he was adamant that he did not want to reset to 5 years prior. He only wanted to bring the people back that disappeared. Why? Because he refused to sacrifice his daughter.

Nobody ever talks about how fucked up the world would have become in those 5 years. How many people would have died during the snap from pilots disappearing, doctors, etc. How many people developed drug and drinking problems during those 5 years? How many took their own lives?

As Spock said, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."

Meanwhile, Thanos was trying to save the universe by eliminating half of all life randomly (it wasn't personal). He knew there was a limited amount of resources and that caused war. Reducing the population meant eliminating that problem. Also, he DID sacrifice his daughter that he loved to save the universe.

Sure, he didn't want to lose his own daughter. But what about all the other daughters that had been born and would be lost?

Was a 'full' reset ever discussed? Reset to 5 years ago, and no one has any memory of the 'post blip' 5 years?

Movies after Endgame did mention the displaced people who came back. Other people were now living in their homes, their spouses had moved on, etc.

The reset definitely was not thought through very well.

Did the the pilots who disappeared, reappear mid air? That would be awesome. A tree grew where you were standing. . . A monument was built where you were standing. Etc. Did they all just reappear out in open fields?

My horror-show scenario was two parents got snapped away, leaving their 4 month old baby in the high chair who was getting fed, who slowly starved to death.

Imagine those parents getting blipped-back 5 years later, spoon with strained carrots in hand.

All of those scenarios had to have occurred.

The proper thing to do would have been reset everything back to 5 years prior (one of the gems does control time) and wipe all memories, as well as, the Infinity stones.

Although, the way things played out is a perfect scenario to create a new Marvel villain. Take Gordon's scenario, but make the parents scientists of some sort or powerful mutants who were content just living their lives. Once the word got out about why they suffered the way they did, they would go hunting for Avengers.
